A lot of clients who I meet have never been involved in the criminal process. Or they’ve had experience with the criminal process in another state than North Carolina. Or they have only seen the criminal process acted out on TV or in the movies.

Below is a graphic – a flow chart – that helps explain the North Carolina Criminal Process from start to finish. Not every case follows every step in the process. Most cases are resolved before a trial. Many cases are never appealed. And a lot of cases can be stopped at the investigation stage.

If you have any questions about how your case will run through the North Carolina criminal justice process, please call me at [#phone#].
