The July 15 runoff in the Republican Primary between Jeff Cruden and John Bryant is upon us. Republican House Speaker Pro Tem in the North Carolina General Assembly, has sent out an email endorsing Cruden:

On Tuesday, July 15, the run-off election will be held for Wake County District Attorney. I will be voting for Jeff Cruden on Tuesday. This election is for Republicans and for those unaffiliated voters who did not vote in the May Democratic primary. Jeff has over 20 years of experience as an Assistant District Attorney and is the best person for the job. For more information, please see the letter below that Jeff sent out last Friday.

Stam had previous sent out an email endorsing Charles Gilliam for interim replacement for Judge Ned Mangum. Stam’s endorsement fell on deaf ears, and Gilliam did not place among the top five vote-getters in the bar election to replace Mangum.
