Checkpoints require a lawyer who will investigate the legality of the checkpoint. The Supreme Court has laid down specific guidelines that police are required to follow when they set up a checkpoint to stop cars. If they have not followed those guidelines, you may escape a conviction, even if you were drunk at the time they stopped you.
